The unit is powered by the Perkins diesel engine model 2506C-E15TAG2 coupled to a Leroy Somer/Newage Stamford brushless alternator. The complete generating set is mounted in a weatherproof and acoustic enclosure designed to reduce the noise level to within EU limits.
